Formerly Pedal the Peaks, Northstar Mountain Sports continues a long-standing presence in the Silverton community, focused on dependable service and equipment that performs in real mountain conditions.

Founder and owner Cliff Pinto brings over 25 years of experience as a professional bike mechanic in Silverton, with deep expertise in keeping bikes running in demanding alpine terrain.

Co-owner Mark Ferguson is a lifetime mountain athlete, with decades of experience as a backcountry skier, rock climber, and mountain biker. He built Northstar Mountain Sports around that perspective — focusing on gear that performs and service you can rely on when it matters.

We keep it simple: we carry what we trust and provide service you can count on.

What’s in a name?

Northstar Mountain Sports is named after the Northstar Couloir on Sultan Mountain — one of our favorite ski lines, visible right from the shop.

It’s a line that represents what this place is about: real terrain, real conditions, and the kind of mountain experience that defines Silverton.
